Organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, Macau University of Science and Technology, “MUSTenet 2022 Graduation Exhibition” was successfully inaugurated at Block R (Academic Complex) on May 18, 2022. The graduation exhibition showcases more than 400 artworks from more than 300 class of 2022 graduates. This is the 11th consecutive gradation exhibition held by Faculty of Humanities and Arts.

Joseph Hun-wei LEE, President of Macau University of Science and Technology highlighted in his speech that “Economic globalization and the rapid development of technology have contributed to a more diverse lifestyle. As a creative activity, design has already become a part of our life, constantly changing our lifestyle and daily routine. We say it is a Design+X era! Macao University of Science and Technology will continuously strengthen the integration between design and other disciplines and cultivate innovative engineering talents with design foundations. To become an outstanding designer, one must go the extra mile and pay extra attention. Today, graduates from Faculty of Humanities and Arts have brought us a visual feast. Our students have attempted various creations throughout the years to advance their professional qualities and design skills, and create high-quality works. We hope our students can embark on their design career and make contributions to the society.”

Kong Ling Qi, Assistant Professor represented our teachers and delivered his speech, “The graduation exhibition theme connects to our concerns for Macau throughout the years. Key terms of this graduation exhibition include “sustainability’, ‘circular economy’, ‘experience economy’, ‘artificial intelligence’, ‘cultural heritage’ etc. Design is about racing against time, discovering the beauty of loss, and creating the foreseeable future. Our design graduates are currently progressing steadily towards their bright future.”

This exhibition features more exhibitors and artworks than before, showing artworks of more diversified styles. MUSTenet 2022 is held during the 22nd Anniversary of Macau University of Science and Technology. While maintaining effective teaching management, Faculty of Humanities and Art fosters the development of art practice and self-cultivation of the students. The faculty has provided courses that widen the students’ horizons, and invited world-renowned artists to give lectures, boosting the students’ creativity and innovation.
MUSTenet 2022 Graduation Exhibition will be open from today until May 27, 2022. To enhance the exhibition experience of the current students, Faculty of Humanities and Arts has arranged presentation sessions. Through face-to-face communications, exhibitors are able to interact with the audience and explain their inspirations and thoughts to them.
This graduation exhibition showcases works from graduates of Bachelor of Arts in Art Design, Master of Design, Doctor of Philosophy in Design, Master of Fine Arts, Doctor of Philosophy in Fine Arts, and Master of Architecture, Faculty of Humanities and Arts. Their majors include Bachelor of Arts in Art Design: Product Design, Landscape Design, Interior Design and Visual Communication Design; Master of Design: Communication Design, Product Design, Interior Design, Fashion and Textile Design, Design Management, Cultural Heritage Conservation; Doctor of Philosophy in Design: Theory and Practice of Art Design, Design Management, Cultural Heritage Conservation; Master of Fine Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Fine Arts: Painting Practice and Theory; and Master of Architecture: Architectural Heritage Conservation, Waterfront Urban Architecture and Design.
