M.U.S.T. Doctor of Philosophy in Design Student Ding Wei Selected as “2021 Forbes China Most Valuable Smart Design (Designer) TOP10”

"2021 FCD Smart Design Selection" award ceremony was held in Shaoxing Keqiao on October 13, 2021.  During the award ceremony, Forbes China announced the results for “2021 Forbes China Most Valuable Smart Design (Enterprise/Designer) TOP10”.  M.U.S.T. Faculty of Humanities and Art doctoral student Ding Wei, has topped the selection among 3000 or more applicants and is selected as “2021 Forbes China Most Valuable Smart Design (Designer) TOP10”.  Din Wei expressed his gratitude towards M.U.S.T., and remarked that his doctoral degree at M.U.S.T. has opened up his mind, widened his horizon and enriched his perspective.  He then presented on the topic “Let The World See Your Design”.

Forbes was founded in New York in 1917.  It is a leading global media company renowned for its innovation and entrepreneurship.  Forbes is well known for its lists and rankings, which are increasingly viewed as a preeminent source of financial information for families, businesses and entrepreneurs.  In 2021, Forbes China and Fuyu culture company jointly launched "Forbes China design selection" with the concept of "design creates value and design promotes progress".  Selection areas cover industrial intelligence, architectural space, cultural innovation, fashion life and visual communication.

Review panelists comprised experts coming from elite art academies including School of Design, Central Academy of Fine Arts; School of Design, China Academy of Art; Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University; School of Design, Hunan University; College of Design an Innovation, Tongji University; Nanjing University of the Arts.  Wang Jian, Chinese Academy of Engineering scholar and founder of Aliyun was invited as cross-industry panelist.
