Upcoming Event: The 2025 Macao International Communication Week
The 2025 Macao International Communication Week, themed "Emerging: AI and Medium", will commence at 10:30 am on April 28th. This year's event is co-organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Arts at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), the Center for Information and Communication Studies at Fudan University, and the Journalism and Information Communication School of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), sponsored by the Macao Foundation. In line with the University's commitment to educational and research excellence, the event will spotlight cutting-edge developments in media and communication studies for the digital age. Esteemed scholars from Singapore, Hong Kong, and mainland China will engage in discussions on media practices in the AI era. A dialogue between international journal editors and authors will provide insights into current academic trends, promoting the visibility and impact of social science research. The Deans' Forum of Journalism and Communication Schools in the Greater Bay Area will outline concrete measures for teaching and research collaboration and present findings on international communication studies. Concurrently, the 3rd China Story International Communication Summit Forum will explore innovative approaches to China's global communication in the AI context, featuring dozens of scholars across three thematic panels. In addition, the Symposium of Digital Narratives & Urban Settings will include a discussion with directors of the documentary Ani Bond: Choying Drolma on visual storytelling.
The event is open to the public and everyone is welcome to join us at this international academic gathering. We hope it will provide an enriching and insightful collective experience centered on the digital paradigm in communicative behaviors and in how we research them.
