Recently, results of the Teaching Ideas Award Competition held by Mass Communication and Society Division of The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) was announced. Associate Prof. Yu Guo from Faculty of Humanities and Arts, MUST was won the second place in the competition.
Established in 1912, AEJMC is currently one of the most important organizations for journalism and communication education. It dedicates in promoting education for journalism and communication and nurturing visionary communication studies. As a vital part of AEJMC, Mass Communication and Society Division organize Teaching Idea Award Competition annually to encourage outstanding teaching methods and idea innovations from journalism and communication educators around the world.
The report submitted by Dr. Guo was Multiple E-teaching Platforms Integration and Assignment Design in the Context of Covid-19: Taking teaching practice in the PR and IMC as an example. Dr. Guo first conducted in-depth interviews to understand difficulties in journalism and communication practice courses teaching. Then, based on investigating teaching cases, he proposed the method of multiple e-teaching platforms integration and assignment design promotion to ensure quality of teaching.
