This exhibition is not only a concentrated display of academic achievements, but also a speculative experiment on the essence of art. The team stated: «In this culturally layered place of Macau, 'polyphony' attempts to use art as a prism to reflect the symbiotic possibilities of multiple realities».
Additionally, a special sand drawing performance was featured at the opening, presented by Guo Weiwei, an inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of sand art and the chairman of the Shandong Sand Painting Art Association. Using the sands from Macau as his medium along with lyrical music, he depicted Macau’s modern landmarks and historical richness. Through the flowing of sands, he connected the city’s diverse cultural aspects, resonating the exhibition’s theme of “Polyphony” and bringing visual and philosophical impacts to audiences.
The artworks will be on display until May 17th, 2025.
Admission is free.
