2022 8th Macau International Communication Week

2022 8th Macau International Communication Week will be held at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST). 8th Macau International Communication Week is co-hosted by the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of MUST and the Center for Information and Communication Studies (CICS), Fudan University. The theme of the 8th Macau International Communication Week is “Digit, People, and Cities”. In the post-pandemic era, digits, people, and cities have been integrated into daily life and formed new relationships. No matter from the perspective of the administration of smart cities or the perspective of the changes in individuals’ lifestyles, “Digit, People, and Cities” is worthy to be focused on and discussed. 8th Macau International Communication Week will carry out research on urban digital communication capabilities, and invite scholars and practitioners to conduct lectures and forums on this theme, providing views and discussions from different perspectives. 

8th Macau International Communication Week set up the PhD Student Forum. We solicited papers from all over the world, and received wide responses from PhD students from universities around the world. The authors of the accepted papers are from famous universities such as Carleton University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Peking University, and Tsinghua University. 16 accepted papers will be presented at the PhD Student Forum, focusing on the theme of “Digital, People, and Cities”, to discuss the latest theories and research of communication studies in the fields of digital technology and social media. The PhD Student Forum will be held in R104 and live via Zoom.
